Do You See the Picture as a Whole?
Earlier this morning, my friend called me to say how upset she was to hear her friend thought she was just lucky to be so successful as a business owner. This phrase “You are lucky” sounded a familiar phrase as someone I know used to mention how lucky I was with friendships, support, family and business. Are we?
We often see the success of someone and assume many things, create a story in our minds and think they are lucky. In truth, we only see the tip of the iceberg. The Iceberg of Success is a theory which has been around for a long while, which reflects the truth about SUCCESS.
More times than not, we only see the tip of the iceberg and forget about the often-obscure large part of the picture when someone becomes successful.
What we don’t see is the more substantial portion of the picture: the sacrifices, trials and perseverance that each successful person must endure to show the minuscule tip above the water.
Are you creating the more substantial hidden part?
Do you appreciate what others have done to emerge and show the slightest tip above the water?

Aim to leave your name in the minds of people you serve, the lives of those you touch, and for the hope, you instil rather than to be on the wall of fame.
I believe that is why many entrepreneurs and businesses fail.
We may fall into the trap of following others and misinterpreting the recipe for success and forget to answer the crucial questions:
